Argument complete. 15 hours to go. 3,334 words. 111% of the word count. Every text I touched has made it into the reference list, bar one. The introduction and conclusion both address the actual question of the essay.
Tomorrow comes the pernickety work of assessing whether the introduction and conclusion also address the actual content of the essay, realigning sections to suit, slashing and burning where necessary, proofreading, and spellchecking. Yes, spellchecking is a task in itself. For some reason my OpenOffice didn't come with a dictionary.

Well it's better to write too much than too little. Now you can crack the dictionary (dude wtf no spellcheck) as you watch it count down to the end of the day.
