Pogo pogo pogo pogo

This morning I attempted to ask Paul a lot of intelligent questions by email, but my total lack of understanding of the thing I was trying to ask was something of an impediment. Unsurprisingly, I didn't understand his reply either. Surprisingly, I had an epiphany shortly afterwards that answered almost all of my original questions.

In the lecture he did an example that showed what happens if you lack the special condition (full verifiability) that was the original subject of my confusion. This example helped to intensify my epiphany. Tomorrow, therefore, I may have another try at doing the second half of the assignment.

Tonight I won an impromptu speech contest, meaning that in a few weeks I will speak off the cuff for two minutes in front of around 200 people. In the unlikely event of my winning that contest, I'll then get to do it again in front of several thousand people. The prospect is sort of a thrill - a scary one - but a thrill nonetheless.
