The scars that the sun didn't heal

Today's Micro lecture scared me. There was Marginal Rate of Substitution, and calculus, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then the lecture ended and I realised what had been happening, but hadn't been able to see for furiously copying stuff down. Getting the whole picture in one go at the end of the lecture does not help with being able to answer Paul's questions during the lecture.

His latest technique for trying to force us to speak out in class: Write a bunch of fiendishly difficult stuff on the board in silence, then make like he's not going to explain it unless someone asks him to.

Assignment 2 is out. It looks interesting, mathematical, and reasonably self-contained at first glance.
