My referee report is done, except for the changes I'll inevitably want to make when I re-read it after having some sleep. I've even done the reference list, which is always the bit I dislike the most. Unsurprisingly, my report is precisely 1000 words. That's what happens when you write just a bit too much, and instead of cutting whole sections, you just delicately prune it word by word until you reach the upper bound.
Observations:
- Neoclassical papers are a lot shorter than new-Keynesian papers
- All the authors writing about Q theory in the past decade have surnames that start with a letter before I in the alphabet, or else collaborate with someone who does
- Contrary to popular belief, dialup does not get faster in the middle of the night
Now I have to do some micro and some modelling. Both of these promise to be at least a little bit fun, so I'm going to relax for a while.
Here is the thing I'm most proud of among my achievements of the past week:
Why am I proud of that? Because I made it in LaTeX. Because the egame package doesn't natively handle continuous choices. Because I taught myself how to draw ovals just to force the game to look precisely how I want. Because it was fun.
