No man ask for

My first two journal entries now fit together on one page. It wasn't as painful as I'd expected - most of the 1500 words turned out to be pretentious crap anyway. I've finished reading article number 3, and number 4 is both short and easy to read (it's what they call oral history). There are at least six good working hours between now and deadline. I should be able to make it without having to lose any more sleep.

My strategy for the journal is as follows:

• Is it a teaching week?
1. Yes = read two articles
2. No = read three articles

In this way I'll have read exactly 30 articles by the end of the trimester, but still have time to do the additional reading required for essays. Works for me.
