Today I missed out on getting something that I had wanted so hard for so long, I had come to half-believe it was already mine.
Outside it's 18C and the air is thick with the scent of curry plant and the slender song of innumerable tiny black crickets. I wish I had a tent so I could sleep out there with that sound; it's so restful.
