The good news is that my failed external backup drive was under warranty.
The bad news is that I've committed most of my current account balance to AC/DC tickets, so buying a new external drive isn't possible just now. If neoMac fails before I get a replacement backup drive, I will be very extremely unhappy.
The other good news is that neoMac is still less than a year old, so it's unlikely to fail in the next ten days. *crosses fingers*
